Most people enter roofing for a paycheck.

I entered it for my mom.

When COVID shut down the fitness industry, I had to pivot. A few former colleagues had started a roofing company, so I jumped in. I didn’t know much—until I saw my own mother being taken advantage of by a contractor who wanted money upfront before even starting the job.

That was the moment it clicked.

I educated myself quickly, got her out of the contract, and handled her roof the right way. That single experience lit a fire in me—to protect others who don’t know what questions to ask, what paperwork to sign, or who to trust.

But starting in roofing as an African American gay man in a conservative state wasn’t easy. Door-to-door sales were brutal. I was judged before I even introduced myself.

So I stopped chasing.

I started building a brand rooted in trust, education, and speed.

I became “The People’s Roofer.”

Now I serve homeowners and realtors who want clear communication, fair pricing, and someone who does what they say—when they say it.

And I treat every job like it’s for my own family
